Arun Kumar, also known by his mononym Atlee, is a Tamil-language film director from India. He is best known for his directorial debut, Raja Rani, released by Fox Star Studios, for which he received the Vijay Award for Best Debut Director. He previously worked as an assistant director under S. Shankar on the films Enthiran (2010) and Nanban (2012). Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019), all starring actor Vijay, were his next projects as a producer, screenwriter, and writer.
